Following up here. I want with Sihoo Doro S300. So far so good. Depth feels decent and the lower back support is great. Will post update if anything changes.

Decent budget, need recommendations
I get what you mean about the Ergohuman. I tried one too and had similar issues with the armrests and seat depth. For your budget, try Sihoo Doro C300 or Sihoo Doro S300. Best ergonomic office chair for back pain in the $500-800 range?
Don't get a Branch. It's rubbish. Refurbished Leap or HM Aeron are always solid choices. The C300 Doro is OK, but if you can afford to, stretch to a used Doro S300 instead. I call it the "Aeronski" - because they ripped off the best parts of an Aeron and made it 3X cheaper. I wrote about it here- ht
