It's just because of the default rendering of DxO, its contrast curve just happens to pull most of the image down. Here is what the default rendering from Capture One looks like : It's still a bit dark but it was definitely the intent. I took this shot with a Sigma fp, and most experienced owners o

I think this is because nobody really knows how to use the RAW workflow. Some do, many don't. Many don't spend enough time to understand the way a camera's dynamic range is even used. The Sigma fp when processed well seems to have more than enough dynamic range. Again, if you know how to expose the

Original post at Facebook where you can pre-order. Personally, I find this to be a great solution for fully handheld work. I've always envisioned the grip having a battery, and DPL executed it very well - great efficient use of space, which includes the SSD on the bottom as well. The end result look

The bigger sensor means lower readout speed so - a bunch of the video features perhaps not being there? What would make sense is the s9r. There's already the sigma fp-l as a proof of concept. And with ibis would be my perfect camera.

I loved my fp-l in every way except AF. Switched to a S9 which has great AF. I miss the absolute minimalism of the sigma. If I had unlimited funds I’d keep one for landscape work but if I added a second camera it’s probably be the s1rii for its middle resolution but also a shutter and EVF.

Not lots of occasions for me to be smug about my Sigma FP, but that might be one of them lol

Absolutely love my fp for stills.. coming from Oly and Fuji. Best UI imo -- for whatever reason, Sigma's menu system clicked with me. Just the right number of buttons (love the placement and customization to obtain the workflow that best works for me). Huge bright LCD screen. i bought the fp (after

The Sigma FP and FP L are both smaller than the S9, but they have some quirks. No IBIS is a big one. Bad autofocus is another. I love my FP L, but it’s a very “special” little camera. Everyone saying there are no other options, need to google.

Indeed. Sigma FP doesn't have the PDAF array for autofocus on its sensor meaning no artefacts from it which can cause grid patterns, flares, etc in certain conditions.

I moved from the BMPCC6K Pro and Sigma FP to an FX3 and A7IV. The FP and 6K Pro both have stronger IQ than the FX3, which is why I originally got them, but I was running into a lot of issues as a solo filmmaker and content creator. Trying to film myself or any subject with non autofocusing cameras w
