What is one thing that you felt is expensive but felt totally worth it after buying it?
The ones I have are pretty quiet (Shark Matrix). Except for the 20 seconds it spends evacuating the dirt into the tower.

What am I doing wrong?
I've got a Chantilly-Tiffany that leaves similarly difficult-to-extract tufts around. Max suction combined with the optional tri-cut brush has been getting them up for me. I don't know if 'carpet boost' does anything when I'm already running at max suction, but weekly I also run with Intensive Carpe

Considering buying a Dyson V8 Origin. Can I find a better cordless vac under $300?
I have a Shark Matrix, I only run it once a week while I'm at work because it's just loud and my house is so small that I hear it in every room.
