I bought the Meze Noirs from Drop.com. edit: they come with a really nice hard case that I legit have dropped so many times and even the case is still pristine. and a little tip is if your high quality (even lower quality) headphones are not sounding the best, buy a little plug in DAC like the Fosi

Again, it is the use case of what a person is looking for from their headphones. If you want fun sizzle as a consumer HiFi listener, I can see how many might choose the HiFiman Edition XS, but if you are using them for professional critical listening, particularly if you are making critical decision

Studio monitors with a PC as the source will get you the best bang for buck. For example, Adam audio D3V. If you want headphones, I recommend the Topping DX5 II DAC+HP AMP + Sennheiser HD6XX (HD650). Hope this helps Edit: make sure to upgrade the firmware on the Topping if you get it (bugs fix).
