HD 800 S

Honestly not entirely surprised - Sonova always felt like an awkward parent for a consumer headphone brand. Their DNA is medical hearing aids, and Sennheiser's strength is in the exact opposite direction: audiophile listening, studio monitoring, the HD 800 series crowd. The bigger question for me is

Sennheisers. I have an end game setup though, external units of preamp, amp, and dac to support my Sennheisers hd800s Astro are ok lol

Nothing for now, it's too much time to purchase and then return to back Sennheiser. I'd like to try out the HD 800 S, but not really willing to purchase it and then have to send it back if it's not a good fit, plus I'm still awaiting for my refund for the HDB 630.
