I have not heard the HDB 630, but I will say that price, or even the fact that it's wireless are not significant limitations. There are things cheaper Sennheiser models that do some things better than the HD 800 S, in my opinion. A good example is the midrange and treble of the HD 600 and HD 650, fo

I own the HE1000se and all I do is game on it. I had the Sennheiser HD 490 Pro and the HD 800 S as well. Those were great for gaming and especially the 800 S for competitive play. But the HE1000se, once I picked those up, I knew I’d never pick up my Sennheisers again. They are amazing! Basically the

Forget everything you think you know about what makes a great headphone. The real magic in the Sennheiser HD 800 S isn't about booming bass or sparkling highs in isolation. It's about something far more fundamental, yet often overlooked: its uncanny ability to lay bare the overtones in music.

Sennheiser will probably be fine. Aside from that, you just missed the HD 600 on sale for $379. The HD 650 is still on sale for $399 I believe, but that is on Amazon. The HD 800 S will probably be more similar sounding to your Arya depending on how well it seals on your head, and how much treble you

Sennheiser HD 800 S or Audeze. You don’t just hear music. I hear space, texture, breath. Songs I’ve known for years suddenly have layers I never noticed. It is unsettling.

Ive had my 630’s for a few weeks now. I believe the only points I agree with would be the material being left oily after use (I do a quick wipe off with my shirt and haven’t had any issues) and the gesture controls being awful, which I just disabled altogether. As far as comfort, I don’t find them “

Agree completely - The sound on the HDB 630s is incredible, particularly for anyone not biased towards consumer-tuned bass. The Sony XM series trade away detail for bass and (assume) noise cancelling. I used to run dedicated pocket/desk amps with Orivetis and Beyers, I moved to the Sony XM3 for wire

My Sennheiser HD 800 S headphones kind of beg to differ. That said, my main mix complaint is how dry it is, especially the vocals. I definitely think MD have released warmer-sounding albums
