The Sennheiser Experience: No repairs, no parts, no help. Is this the new standard?
Hmmm, you might be correct. It could be overblown. I think there could be a few different things to consider. In recent years, more people are sharing their audio related experiences online, and there are more forums online to show it. This could mean that we are just seeing a larger number of negat

She's looking even more gorgeous now!
Nice! The extra pop of colour gives off "Flame vinyls on a sports car" in a good way :) The stock cable of the HD 800 series is well built and it is thoughtful of Sennheiser to include multiple of them for how much they cost. But it can feel a little bit "unwieldy" for what is a relatively lightweig

What really good headphones are we using these days? Looking for rec’s from people who know good music.
I have Sennheiser HD 800 S for professional purposes. I don’t think it can get better than that. But it’s very pricey. Edit: for personal use I have the Bose NC 700. Also really good quality. Renewed the earpads so good for a lot of more years!

So done with Sennheiser products
There are 3 categories of Sennheiser products: Products designed by Sonova after the acquisition, made at factories that were never owned by original Sennheiser (Momentum 4) Products designed, made and sold by original Sennheiser/Sennheiser Pro (HD 490 Pro) Products designed by original Sennheiser b

I've been destroyed by my Nephew's system....
Well it seems to me you are enjoying what you are doing and that is what counts. Sennheiser HD800S https://au.sennheiser-hearing.com/products/hd-800-s I know they are not super high end, but seem ok to me. I used them a bit when I first got them but live packed in the box majority of the time.Only t

Which Model -_-?
The HD 800 S on sale new reaches near that price in the U.S, but not in Canada or Australia. Though, I am not even sure if the HD 800 S is currently in stock in North America. u/sennheiserconsumer would know more about that I assume. It's possibly a supply chain issue. Otherwise, you can find them u

Headphone brand Sennheiser is up for sale
Honestly not entirely surprised - Sonova always felt like an awkward parent for a consumer headphone brand. Their DNA is medical hearing aids, and Sennheiser's strength is in the exact opposite direction: audiophile listening, studio monitoring, the HD 800 series crowd. The bigger question for me is

Would you rather use the HD 800 S or the HD 600?
What a coincidence. I actually heard about the NDH 30 yesterday and they seem really great for the price, like a true successor to the HD 600. But, if you want the best, I guess it has to be the HD 800 S then? I really like Sennheiser as a brand since my HD 600 are nearly 20 years old now and still

Spare Parts Follow-up: Tell Sennheiser, Which Spare Parts or Products Have Been Difficult to Replace in Your Particular Country?
You're telling me, i cannot get parts for my hd800s, nor can the retail store in Vic i bought them from can. Sennheiser has become a joke. I have been waiting for over a year with no replacement parts. Sent emails to sennheiser and i havent heard back since November, being promised a discount on par

For the love of god, i wana talk ingame but hear myself
Can confirm open back is the way. Closed back headphones are the more common option, have better sound isolation, a bit more bass response and don’t leak sound. Open back headphones often gain benefits in sound staging (you hear where things are in a mix much better), treble accuracy and are often n
