Best headphones for Tipper?
Get some over the ear Sennheiser. HD 600 or HD 620S are both under $500/$400

Does anyone know what headset Destiny is using?
I'm like 80%+ sure that they're Sennheiser HD600(s) S is in parentheses because because the model is HD600 but headphones as a word is plural (don't actually buy it here, it will be cheaper elsewhere): https://eu.sennheiser-hearing.com/en-de/products/hd-600 Unless you've got too much money or care a

If I enjoy the 560s what other sennheiser headphone can elevate my listening sessions ?
The 560S are unusually bright for a Sennheiser, so you might want to try branching out to something else like a Hifiman planar. Honestly, I would consider almost any an improvement over the 560S though, in terms of detail retreival, and mostly in terms of layer and instrument separation. I'd take th

HD600, HD800S, or Alternative?
Sennheiser will probably be fine. Aside from that, you just missed the HD 600 on sale for $379. The HD 650 is still on sale for $399 I believe, but that is on Amazon. The HD 800 S will probably be more similar sounding to your Arya depending on how well it seals on your head, and how much treble you

Buying headphone question
Sennheiser HD600 series is the sweet spot where they sound fun and enjoyable to listen to, yet have the fidelity to hear all the details. And you can find used deals to snag them cheap. Beyerdynamik DT-770s are allegedly good for picking out flaws in the mix, though they're less pleasant to listen t

What do people chase that never truly satisfies them?
I think a lot of audiophiles end up never being satisfied, forever chasing that high that they experienced with their very first "true hifi" purchase. This is due to the huge diminishing returns that becomes very apparent once you go above the entry level audiophile stuff. I myself never managed to

Hd600 OR Hd650
There's an argument that unit variation in the 600 series (600, 6xx, 650, 58x, etc.) can be greater than the difference between the models, but at least the units I've heard have been consistently bassier on the 650 (or 6XX, the North American version of the 650 originally sold by Drop.com). But it'

Depressed I can’t hear the difference in compression.
I mean I’m sure a completely neutral monitoring device doesn’t exist, so it’s all relative, and all about what you can make work for you ¯_(ツ)_/¯ The Sennheiser Hd600 series is often cited as a good affordable option and in my experience with the HD6XX that’s true, though they have a darker and more

Any suggestions for a music headphone under A$1000
In sennheiser, that's a bit of a gray spot. For wireless (which I personally enjoy less), there's the HDB 630, which actually fits in that budget snugly. Then for wired, you have the HD 600, HD 550s, and the HD 490 Pros. All fantastic picks.

Compensate for the frequency response of headphones using the equalizer
Invest in proper headphones. Frequency response doesn't stay the same across the entire dynamic range. If there's a bump or scoop in your response and you try to compensate with EQ, the sound may be even at, say, quieter levels, but not at louder ones. I'm a staunch advocate for the Sennheiser HD600
