HD800S vs HDB630: Can wireless hang?

I have not heard the HDB 630, but I will say that price, or even the fact that it's wireless are not significant limitations. There are things cheaper Sennheiser models that do some things better than the HD 800 S, in my opinion. A good example is the midrange and treble of the HD 600 and HD 650, fo

HD600, HD800S, or Alternative?

Sennheiser will probably be fine. Aside from that, you just missed the HD 600 on sale for $379. The HD 650 is still on sale for $399 I believe, but that is on Amazon. The HD 800 S will probably be more similar sounding to your Arya depending on how well it seals on your head, and how much treble you

Getting rid of my ATCs and would like advice on my next setup

totally get it - atcs in an apartment is overkill even if they sound incredible. since you're used to that level of detail, you'll want something that still translates well. i'd check the Neumann KH 120 II monitors, they're right in your range and give you that surgical precision without the price t

HD800S vs HDB630: Can wireless hang?

Tubes do help the HD 800 S, it becomes more "HD 650-like" by adding some warmth and taking the edge off in the treble. Though it's a much "Softer" presentation than the HD 650 below 4kHz, as shown below. Though, the maintenance needed to upkeep tube amps can be annoying if you're used to solidstate.

Super quality wired headphones...

My recommendation is going for German quality, can be beyerdynamic or sennheiser, both of them sell original parts for their studio lines like hd 600 series or upper on sennheiser and DT and similar series on beyerdynamic. To me the highest quality wired headphones are dt1990/dt1770 followed by hd60

Momentum 4's or HDB 630

I’d say if you’re one of the vast majority of people that want headphones but under the Sennheiser brand, Momentum 4’s is the way to go. But if you’re one of those who actually really cares about sound quality more than anything in the world? HDB 630. I own the 630, it’s the most versatile headphone

Can someone recommend me high quality model for mostly desk usage and some smartphone music listening please? My budget is €500 but bit flexible if it’s worth it. I’m a newbie and would like to experience crisp sound quality at last!

Sadly, a used Sennheiser HD 800 will likely be just outside of your budget. The HD 600 is a solid, classic choice. It has some of the best sound quality you can get at any price point. I'm not a big fan of the HD 560S or the HD 490 Pro, personally. But the HD 550 is also a great choice.

Fiio k15 with Sennheiser HD800

To quickly answer the K15 question, the answer is yes. As for the HD 800, it depends on what you mean by "Objectively"? If you mean which has the "Objectively" best the frequency response when compensated to the DF-HRTF of an industry standard rig such as the B&K 5128, whilst also remaining within t

For the love of god, i wana talk ingame but hear myself

Can confirm open back is the way. Closed back headphones are the more common option, have better sound isolation, a bit more bass response and don’t leak sound. Open back headphones often gain benefits in sound staging (you hear where things are in a mix much better), treble accuracy and are often n
