MacOS 14 install unmounts drive while installing
Thought so - Samsung PM981 controller. Sorry but it’s incompatible. It’s on the ‘avoid’ page of the buyers guide. There’s no way to make it work, you will need to buy a different SSD.

Upgrade Suggestions
I push z170 beyond this level of performance with ease. I’d recommend an 10th gen i7, 32gb ram upgrade, 6700xt or better gpu, proper Samsung nvme SSD like a pm981. PSU based on gpu.
