I had a curved for a main monitor... it had a weird parabolic echo effect when I breathed or talked. I now have a flat center and curved on either side. The effect is much reduced. For games I prefer IPS For images, I prefer VA I would go with a good IPS...https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-27-ody
