A rig is never done, but I’m happy with where the money pit is.

I paid 550 CAD each for 3x 27" OLED 180Hz 1440p (Samsung Odyssey G5 QD-OLED G50SF). You can upgrade the firmware and they support 10-bit color at 180Hz as well. AMAZING value for the money. There was a deal for 350 each in then US as well. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales/comments/1rc3vla/moni

Getting a monitor for my brother for Christmas $400 or less

Check out the Samsung Odyssey G50D (27" or 32"). It's 1440p, 180Hz, IPS, HDMI 2.1 and works perfectly with PS5

Monitor for Xbox Series S

For Xbox Series S, get a 1440p IPS or OLED Samsung monitor. And yes, the Series S works fine with curved monitors. Check out the Odyssey G50D, if you wanna go OLED go for Odyssey G6

Just got myself this bad boy, hoping for decent improvements from my RTX2060!

To be fully honest I am not that bothered by the RT, because from what I'm seeing the GPU can run every game at max settings (apart from RT) at 100+ FPS no problemJust need me a proper monitor now to get the full experience, 75" ain't doing me justice, Samsung Odyssey G5 G50D 32inch 180Hz QHD IPS Ga

1440p monitor suggestions - please keep it simple.

I had a curved for a main monitor... it had a weird parabolic echo effect when I breathed or talked. I now have a flat center and curved on either side. The effect is much reduced. For games I prefer IPS For images, I prefer VA I would go with a good IPS...https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-27-ody
