Yeah honestly a bit surprised. It seems like it’s pretty much still a 4th gen panel? I have the G80SD and I absolutely love it (especially for $599 on the Samsung app), but considering it’s been 2yrs figured they’d have some bigger improvements other than enhanced I/O? I guess DSC is no longer neede

I have both a high end QD-OLED (Samsung G80SD) and an entry level mini led, but still very capable (KTC M27T6). Both are good in HDR, but the OLED pulls ahead in SDR. The picture looks "cleaner" on the OLED due to the better gradation and viewing angles. Here's a funny anecdote : don't forget how th

That's a perfectly valid reason, I just wanted to make sure you weren't forgetting the best option. So to answer your questions : the Samsung uses the same panel as the MSI, so expect similar picture quality however, it has a matte finish, while the other QD-OLEDs are glossy So all in all very simil

Samsung G80SD, this one has a lighter matte finish compared to the later models according to people here on reddit (not sure if RTINGS confirmed this)

I have the Samsung G80SD (which is last years version of the one you shared) and AFAIK the panel is the same on the 32 inch of the one you shared. The 27 inch version of the G81 is the one that's updated. The G80 has a lot of additional features, it might be a good option for you. It has speakers an

I picked up the Samsung 4k OLED G80SD. They have crazy deals on there site. I saved over $600 and picked it up right under $500. OLED is pretty sweet. I'm also on a 4070tiS. Running 4k before 4.5 wasn't bad, but I kinda wish I got 1440p instead. But now with 4.5 its absolutely amazing and looks sooo

Sorry, checked receipts and it was 5 years ago, not as long but correct, things AND tech changes. I’ve since swapped them out for 3 G80SD’s from Samsung as 2 of them shit the bed in a climate controlled storage unit while I moved. They’re honestly great, there’s a reason I kept them until I had to c

i feel you on being stingy after a big build lol. the aoc agon you found at 650 euros is actually a solid pick for the price. another one to look at is the msi mpg 321urx - it's a bit more but often has good deals and the qd-oled panel is gorgeous. if you can stretch a little, the samsung g80sd also
