I have both a high end QD-OLED (Samsung G80SD) and an entry level mini led, but still very capable (KTC M27T6). Both are good in HDR, but the OLED pulls ahead in SDR. The picture looks "cleaner" on the OLED due to the better gradation and viewing angles. Here's a funny anecdote : don't forget how th

Running Windows 4.4 on the left looks great, working as intended, HDR and brightness is PERFECT. It's a little brighter and washed out in the screenshot as capturing HDR and it's problems are difficult. Windows 5.0 on the right there as you can see is just darker. Lacking brightness. I can artificia

That's a perfectly valid reason, I just wanted to make sure you weren't forgetting the best option. So to answer your questions : the Samsung uses the same panel as the MSI, so expect similar picture quality however, it has a matte finish, while the other QD-OLEDs are glossy So all in all very simil

I’ve been using the Samsung g80sd - qd-oled 32” 4k 240hz as my only monitor. Work as a cloud engineer 8 hours a day - then gaming for 1-3 hours a day. No issues yet. Text clarity is amazing.

The coating on the G81SF is slightly more aggressive, but you'll only notice this if you have them side by side. For reference, this is text on the G81SF and on the G80SD. It's so hard to tell any differences.

Here is my take having owned both Alienware AW3225QF (glossy qd-oled) and Samsung G80SD (matte qd-oled pretty much identical to yours) Glossy coating does have improved contrast as well as more of that “colour pop” which both are often described as that ‘wet look’ of a glossy Oled display. With that

I personally use the g80sd from samsung. It's matte though, 240hz. It doesn't look "gamer" but a fantastic display.

Tengo una TV (Samsung S95F) y un monitor ( Samsung G80SD) De ser posible, no uso más otro panel que no sea OLED. La diferencia es demasiada.

What I’m most excited about is finally having a monitor that can actually handle my workspace properly. My office gets a ton of natural light because I have floor to ceiling west facing windows, and during the day the sunlight can be brutal. It honestly makes color-critical work really frustrating s

Hey man, I think I’ve got the perfect monitor for you that fixes exactly what you’re dealing with. Go for the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 (like the G80SD or the newer 2025 G81SD variants—32” 4K is killer, or 27” if you want smaller). It’s literally the only OLED out there with Samsung’s patented Glare-F
