Samsungs 2Tb 990 Pro is a good pick and more than enough for gaming. otherwiese any other pcie 4.0 nvme will do from a reputable brand. Only if they are cheaper by a good amount tho.

My X1 Carbon Gen 9

Still going strong. Ended up replacing the SSD with a Samsung 990Pro 1Tb and repasting the CPU with some Arctic MX-6. It's been impeccable so far, by far the best laptop experience I have ever had. How come this SSD Prices are less comparatively..R these gud ?

Samsung SSD is most reliable. How much performance you want? I did a mistake of not buying Samsung 990 Pro 1TB ssd. Actually should have bought 2TB. Tell me use case and budget. I will tell accordingly. Due to budget issue going Western Digital black may help.

I have 400MBPS internet but my Steam caps out at 120-140 MBPS when trying to download games.

You could also download Samsung's SSD software to make it is also up to date plus you can enable boost and etc on it if you haven't done so. The 980-990 pro are amazing when boosted, I forget what it's called but it's essentially overclocking it in a sense.
