Here’s what ads on your $2,000 Samsung smart fridge will look like

I walked away from both of those. Their phones because my last Samsung phone, the S22 was the single worst smartphone I've ever owned. Constant disconnections, constantly not being able to access 5G or LTE networks without a restart, poor battery life etc. SSDs just because I got a better deal on an

I think I got luck

840 Evo 120GB is 72TBW. 18.6TBW used till now. Using it as external ssd now. 970 evo plus 500GB is 300TBW. 24TBW used till now. Samsung SSD more reliable and those includes DRAM even more. Western Digital blue SSD are DRAM less. So less reliable. Western Digital black ones are more reliable due to i

I think I got luck

😂 no EVM ssd please. Crap Western Digital is better. But Black, Blue are better. Not green. My Samsung SSD lasted for long. 840 evo - 11 years still working good. 970 evo plus - 5 years still working good Should have bought 990 Pro. Will wait for price stabilize. Will think about Western Digital bla

WD or Samsung for a new SSD?

Have been using Samsung SSD’s since the 840 EVO & PRO without issue, zero failures. Am still using my 970 PRO NVMe on my AM5 system, owned for 4+ years & still 85% lifespan left, although have a 9100 PRO waiting in the wings, sealed for over 2 years now.

This shouldn't be possible, right?

Low-quality brands tend to give low-quality results. Unfortunately, your best option here is to backup important things and files ASAP and get a new SSD. All other components have nothing to do with this, this is just the SSD tho. I'm not gonna pretend top brands are the only viable option, but I ha

First time buying used parts

used SSDs are fine if you read SMART before paying. without that it's a coin flip. checklist that catches almost every bad one: plug it in front of you (or with a USB-to-SATA dock you bring) and run smartctl -a /dev/sdX. specifically check: Power_On_Hours. lower is better, but 8000 hours on a 5-year d

Which one of these 2TB NVMEs should I get?

Both of my M.2's are Samsung (970 Evo Plus 2TB and 980 Pro 550GB) and both of my Sata SSD's are Samsung (840 EVO 500GB and 860 EVO Plus 2TB.) I have had them for 5 years or longer and they have never let me down.

PSA: It seems the whole SSD's refresh data when powered is down to the controller, and that all drives do it is an internet myth.

I've wondered how many Samsung SSDs proactively refresh their contents. I know the history behind the 840 EVO issue. I suspect they may have just used the same solution on the 870 EVO, after the original version suffered from catastrophic issues (bitrot leading to complete failure). The Samsung flas
