Absolutely do not understand the “hate” for the Samsung S90D - got mine delivered today and just finished hanging it…I feel like I’ve never watched TV or a movie before
The main reason they hate it is no Dolby Vision support (cause Samsung swears by HDR10+) Keep in mind that's an enthusiast subreddit, you could be like "Wow S90D is 1/3 the price of any equivalent and I can't afford any more" and they'd still tell you not to buy it lol. "You should invest more in a

Any reason I shouldn't get a TCL? 85" QLED Mini LED is like $2k less than Samsung
Mini LED is just marketing terms. It's still an LCD TV. I think what I value is picture quality, Well you're looking at the wrong TV's if that's the case. That QM6K is not a good TV, just all sorts of bad. Has zero redeeming qualities about it if you care about PQ. If I'm reading this right, you're

I feel like I was lied to
A little over a year ago I upgraded from a 2017 mid-range Samsung LCD to a 65" Samsung QD-OLED S90D and difference is night and day. Also when HDR is implemented correctly it brings the visual experience to a new level. Further more, technologies like VRR come really handy in numerous games like Eld

Mini LED worth the upgrade? - And which one of them is the best?
I personally use a SAMSUNG G81SF 4K QD OLED 240HZ and it’s been absolutely flawless. It has a special matte coating which reduces the reflections to almost zero and the HDR is stunning. I wouldn't think twice about buying a SAMSUNG monitor as I also have a 65 S90D OLED (might be a little biased but

DLSS 4.5 Preset L Review: Nvidia's Most Advanced Upscaler Tested At 4K And 1440p
I appreciate the in depth response. A lot of what you say makes sense given your setup and I also appreciate the honesty. There are a couple caveats. When you go over with FG to avoid flicker, you are increasing input latency more than FG normally would. Because you're equally dumping rendered and g

Looking for a new TV $2700 or less
Does your room get very bright during the day? If so, you might want to get a mini-led TV. Consider Sony Bravia 7 or TCL. If this is not a concern, go with OLED. LG C series is your best bet but you might need to wait for the price to drop. Samsung OLED is also pretty good, but they do not support D

Bought the wrong tv, need help picking one
Get the Sony X90L 65" 849.00 at BB right now. Or Samsung S90D 1065.00. Both older models ( 1-2yrs ), but great tvs. The QM8K 65" is 1099.99. Another good TV. Yes, the LG B5 is a great TV as well. If you can stretch it and you like LG, go for the C5 1199.00. Check open box ( excellent ) prices at BB
