Although I agree with all the above, as someone who has been into high end coffee machines for 15+ years, I wouldn’t trade the convenience of my Saeco Xelsis for anything in the world when getting up at 5am to go to work, and once dialed in, it’s pretty close to the manual machines I’ve had, and ver

If I recall correctly the Lucca Tempo is a slightly modified version (the mods make it better) of the Pop Up. I have the Quick Mill Pop up and the Eureka Libra 65 AP. I make 2-3 Americanos per day and my wife has one milk drink. I have had the setup for almost 10 months and I really enjoy it - no re

One of the big reasons I purchased a Philips Saeco Xelsis was the ease of cleaning. I'm not sure if you can currently find one under $1k, but I do believe the Latte Go (also by Philips) machines are also supposed to be easy to clean. For the Xelsis, I daily use the steam cleaning shot if I make a mi

Get a super automatic if you want espresso. That's what I did purchasing for an office. I think at the time I ordered a Saeco Xelsis about 6-7 years ago and it was easy enough for everyone to use BUT with anything you will need someone to clean the brew group properly weekly, take out pucks daily, en

Not for $650.... That's way too much for a used machine from a Thrift Store. If it were a Saeco Xelsis Suprema in an unopened box even at $800, that would be worth it!!! That Miele should have been $200 or $125 because of the cracked tank.

It's not worth $500. I used to be in love with that machine when it first came out until I realized it was a dressed up Philips with more grinder settings, glass panels and flow control that is a gimmick and not practical. I never had it but I had the saeco Xelsis suprema. The acidemia is 100% over
