Just curious why would I want a 1080p or 720p substream. Also what's wrong with the reolinks? I have some of their new cameras and they seem very sharp for a fair price. Are the amcrest cams 4:3 or 16:9. I bought some cameras from annke but could not tolerate their 4:3 aspect ratio with a weird feel

You can do all this for around $300. You don't want to use Amazon, so get a Reolink rlc-811a and zoom it in on the assumed lane of travel. Also, purchase an rlc-820a for a 4k overview. You can record directly to a separately purchased SD card on both cameras, so there is no need for an nvr. Reolink
