E1-Zoom 5MP or E1 Zoom (4K)-B ?
I have an E1-Zoom, specifically this model. Not sure if that matches either of the ones you're looking at. I also have a Reolink doorbell camera and a Reolink RLC-820A. Of the three, the E1-Zoom has caused me by far the most problems. The RLC-820A works perfectly. I don't have to use any of the work

Help me buy once, cry once. New switch recommendations.
Update: I just pulled the official Zyxel datasheet to double-check, and I had the dimensions wrong on the 18EP. Let me correct myself. XMG1915-10EP is 250x104x27mm (9.84 x 4.09 x 1.06 inches) - fits your 10-11" On-Q. XMG1915-18EP is 330x230x44mm (12.99 x 9.06 x 1.73 inches) and is actually a rack-mo

520a 2.8mm gone forever?
Yes, that’s correct. They do have very little 2.8 mm options for sure, but hopefully with the introduction of the professional line this will be more readily available. A little bit of self-promotion but one option that some off-line Distribution channel channels still get offer 2.8 mm lenses such a

2026 3rd-party camera lists, let's start a sticky post.
My Reolink RLC-820A won't stream or record no matter what I try. It has ONVIF enabled and everything.

Help me plan out a revamp for a small church
I just put in a new system at our church last year. I went with Reolink as that is what I use at home and was most familiar with. It's been running flawlessly since install. We have 18 total cameras, but you could easily scale it down for your size. Here is what I installed: (1) Reolink RLN36 NVR (1

And so it begins..
Hi! I appreciate the thoughtful response! Let me answer a few of the notes: Is the price difference that big? In terms of cameras, I hadn't done the exact math, as they have a noticeable difference in price. But assuming I got for G5 turret ultras 2K (~129 USD) against perhaps a RLC-820A 4K (~65 USD

Question for possible setup with Scrypted and HomeKit + Reolink
I’ve been running eight outdoor RLC-820A’s two Duo2’s and a TrackMix for 3 1/2 years, powered by a cheap TP-Link Omada managed PoE switch in harsh Western New York weather conditions, all recording to an RLN16-410 NVR on a 5 year old SATA hard drive…with absolutely zero issues. Obviously your mileag

The Mice Don't Stand a Chance
Just curious why would I want a 1080p or 720p substream. Also what's wrong with the reolinks? I have some of their new cameras and they seem very sharp for a fair price. Are the amcrest cams 4:3 or 16:9. I bought some cameras from annke but could not tolerate their 4:3 aspect ratio with a weird feel

Advice on Camera placement please
hey there. We've had massive delays with the build and it hasn't been completed yet. But, the plan is: Front: RHS top, angled to cover front yard, doorbell camera in middle at bottom LHS & RHS LHS Side mounted above the only door RHS mounted above the rear roller door access to garage back mounted r

Need POE system
I finally got feed up with the underwhelming performance of Ring a few months ago and made the switch to POE. Currently running 8 4k cams with Blue Iris on a tiny pc I bought off eBay (m710q) for $60. As for the cameras, I have a mix of Reolink, Lorex, a no name Chinese Dahua-ripoff (which works way
