The Eufy E340 highlights a clear gap in UniFi’s lineup.
Reolink has a Elite Floodlight coming also. Camera uses 12v/poe. The lights are 120v. So they can be brighter. I think the lights will still reflect license plates so stuff like this is really only good for deterrents, I think anyway.

Garage hit twice with an angle grinder – need a serious anti-theft setup
Detering a theft beats preventing an actual theft IMHO. Psychology. You want them to pick a different target. You can get cheap-enough Reolink PTZ cameras - ones that move - so the theif really knows and feels they are being watched. Have it set up so the floodlight on the camera turns on when a per

Need advice on home security setup (Reolink + alarm system + monitoring options)
What is the issue with ring beyond the subscription fee? It seems fairly cheap and has third party monitoring. Just too many to list, it would take me an hour to explain. Basically it is issues with privacy/security risks, extremely awful useless hardware and software, bad company policies, and then

ONVIF Cameras
From my experience, there isn’t a good way to get 180 cameras to work with the AI Port due to wider than 4k output. So if you are interested in that, skip the third party cameras. Without the AI Port, you will have no AI events. Also they may not stream as well. Personally, I won’t use 3rd party cam

Thoughts on my Future Security Setup
Do not use dome protected cameras in outdoor environments. You will have issues. I don't think the 843A in the backyard is needed at all since you have a Duo covering everything. I'd swap all the Duo 2 for Duo Elite Floodlight PoE. Because the Duo 2 only detects up to like 40 feet or something like

Looking for security camera + doorbell camera
I have two wired (POE) Reolink systems on two properties. Their wired doorbell is great, it can even record 24/7 onto the NVR if that's how you roll. During 24/7 recording it still gives notifications for motion and doorbell ringing. I found Reolink to be user-friendly and reliable, despite the conc

Has anyone changed their Ring doorbell for a Tapo one?
I have (and an indoor camera) and I save £8 a month by not paying for a cloud subscription (which is only ever going to increase). I get notifications when outside of my home network and can view anything live or recorded too. If I keep the Tapo for 3 years (as I did with the Ring) the saved subscri

Need advice on home security setup (Reolink + alarm system + monitoring options)
It has to do with lighting, you don't use a color night vision camera in places that are poorly lit or pitch black. CX410 is a color night vision camera, it requires lighting at night to perform well. When lighting is present in the correct amount, CX410 obliterates RLC-810a, especially in this comp

Best floodlight camera?
I’d look at cameras like Ring, Arlo or Reolink. Ring is great if you already use Alexa, Arlo has really strong night video, and Reolink is nice because you can avoid subscription fees with local storage. The biggest things for night visibility are bright floodlights, color night vision and at least

Best floodlight security camera?
Reolink makes several. Full disclosure Reolink does sponsor some of my newer videos, but when you look back I've been using their cameras for years before that and love them. There's the Trackflex Floodlight Wi-Fi video review and install and you can adjust the color temperature of the lights, it su
