Reolink or Ubiquiti unifi Cameras?

Agree with this, gotta say there are some reolink model with 1/1.8" sensors with 2k/4k res that, more or less, should be a good option for the price sold (~100€ in europe). Like CX810/CX820, too bad they seem to be missing IR

Confused with what camera we need, battery, wifi, poe, 1080/2k/4k etc, just for our residential property? I was considering 1080p main front camera, possibly PoE or USB powered.

OP, only models that have perimeter protection from Reolink are CX820, CX810 (with firmware update), Duo 3 (with firmware update), Floodlight Elite PoE and professional models. The rest don't have this feature. You can't use CX models if your lighting sucks or is pitch black at night btw. Because th

What brand of security cameras would fit me

Reolink professional models + CX models (particularly CX820 - only use this one in areas with great lighting at night) + reolink professional NVR. Default models from Reolink do not have activity/detection zones. Only those models I mentioned have that. Except for Duo 3 with firmware update, cx810 w

Need advice on choosing CCTV camera

If you want a proper CCTV setup ignore marketing and focus on the fundamentals. I have run multiple systems and I have also been burned by cheap cameras that look good on paper but fail badly at night. This is what actually matters. What actually matters for image quality Sensor size This is the big

2 cameras 1 NVR system - which one would you go for?

G6 smokes the duo, if you are looking for better performance. Reolink is good, it excels at daytime but you have 2 issues with that 180° camera. It stretches the image and you lose quality, also Reolink IR night vision models suffer from a lot of ghosting with objects in movement at night. Detection

First CCTV system, reolink p330 from Costco. Anything I'm missing?

CX820/CX810 but you need to have very good lighting all around because those are color night vision cameras. You will still get some ghosting tho, so it is not like super clear capture of a face at night if that makes sense, unless the person is not moving at all. You can definitely also tell what a

Camera recommendations

^^ THIS ^^Get the RLN8 with some CX810 cameras. Amazon has a deal on 4https://www.amazon.com/REOLINK-CX810-4K-Security-Aperture-Recorder/dp/B0D5QKYZNM/ Don't get the PTZ cameras that 'follow' a person or car. Great for 1 item in frame, but as soon as you get two or more things going in frame, the ca

Looking for Security Camera recommendations in 2026

It is a stupid difference, we are talking about the difference of not being able to identify a car in movement at night to actually identify a car in movement at night, but CX810 is a color night vision camera so if it is pitch dark where you plan to placing them then go with a professional model fr

ring and nest cameras no blink cameras no If you want something simple that's reliable then go with a PoE camera system from Reolink. Use the CX models from Reolink, those are the better ones. Go with the CX410 for short distances and CX810 for larger distances. If you want zone detection/line tresp
