I used to like Remarkable, but time to move on?

The reMarkable devices are distraction-free note-taking devices that excel at that singular function. A Kindle Scribe is an ereader with limited note-taking features. Last I checked (I have the 2022 version) it is still in 2026 not up to the same features the RM2 had in 2022. Plus Amazon has abandon

Current Upgrade Thoughts

If you're fully aware of the compromises of the Gallery display (lower contrast, flashing for color updates, etc.) and would use the color/frontlight, then yeah it's nice. The Pure is also a great device, CPU is about twice as fast as the rM2, double the RAM, way more storage, the screen refreshes a

What is your use case? Finding hard to justify keeping my paper pure

I have always been a digital early adopter, so had my eye on the first reMarkable, but at the time was working on a single focused research program so my fountain pen & Moleskine (along with official digital lab notebook of course) was more than enough. Then 5 years ago I shifted roles at my company

Just bought the Paper Pro and all my skepticism vanished. I'm loving it.

Enjoy it. I love writing on mine too. I have 3 tablets from reMarkable. The Pro, the Pure and the Move. The Pro is my favourite.

So what do you think?

Supernote Nomad is smaller and it still costs 363,00 € without any pen. reMarkable Pure costs 399 € with a pen, which seems to me to be one of the cheapest 10 inch e-ink devices you can get.

Entirely new to Remarkable products, trying to figure out if I should get the Pro with keyboard or Pure and hope for a keyboard option

The Pro isn't going anywhere, it's the current flagship. IMO there won't be an official keyboard for the Paper Pure at any point from rM, it lacks the pogo pins previous Type Folios used for connectivity. The largest differences are the Pure is a black and white device without a frontlight. The Pro

Considering to buy a remarkable paper pure

Yes, you can swipe up/left/right a PDF to get more space in the margin to write. You don't need a paid Connect subscription to send a PDF. You don't even need a reMarkable account if you want to use the USB web interface to send docs. No, you cannot convert to text in a PDF. But you could select the

Feature request- real assistance for lost or stolen tablets

The Pro, Move, and Pure aren't brickable. You can reflash the bootloader and firmware easily over USB. I don't support artificially adding the ability to brick a device. I doubt any theft-prevention measures would really work, most people don't know what a reMarkable is, let alone if it has theft-pr

My morning planning setup lately: coffee, reMarkable, and a planner that stays in sync

Yes, we do have plans for the Move. Dayfolio was designed mainly for the reMarkable Paper Pro, so the current layout/resolution is not optimized for the Move yet. It works well on reMarkable 2 and Paper Pure as well, since their dimensions are almost identical to the Paper Pro, just without the colo

Loved the Pro and Move, wanted to Love the Pure.... considering Manta

I think we're going to hear more about this wearing in as time goes on. I have a Pure that has a sticky/scratchy region in the upper right (I love that part). The rest of the screen feels exactly like the Paper Pro to me. I'm suspicious that there's a little bit of an inconsistency in the screen tex
