Remarkable to let go of up to 200 employees
Spend time on reddit arguing problems aren't problems. No, those are probably mostly freelancers paid peanuts. Managers.Managers of managers. Whatever happen to all companies that mature. At the start it's pure innovation . Love for creating a product. No choice : startup that fail at that cease to

Remarkable to let go of up to 200 employees
Yikes. This is pretty shocking. While there were signs of the business having trouble, sacking the CEO and up to 40% of employees is a disaster. I really hope this prompts a hard look at reMarkable's failed strategy of ignoring consumers and going all-in on premium hardware and enterprise. The consu

Disappointing development
(which remarkable considers themself to be in the e-ink world) Slightly indirectly, but sure.A single dev can add features, 100%(I am a single dev, I did have some help but was able to do so much). Problem is, and we are of course making guesswork here, is that we do not know what their internal pro

State of reMarkable app development
I also want to reply with some thoughts, as a software developer who has been in the reMarkable hacking scene since 2018. reMarkable app development is not what it used to be. For that matter, neither is society, nor this sub's moderation. I recall peak "awesomeness" being in the summer of 2020. Thi

Loved the Pro and Move, wanted to Love the Pure.... considering Manta
I actually have a support ticket in with reMarkable currently about the inconsistent texture of the Pure’s screen. It’s very noticeable when using the eraser in particular. Will circle back when they respond with any updates.

Purchasing advice: Pro or Pure?
For your use case I'd recommend the Paper Pro, as long as you check out some youtube video reviews first and verify that you are okay with the refresh flashing behaviour - people seem polarised on this, some can't ignore it whilst others don't seem to be bothered. I'm more in the latter camp, though

Accessibility with Remarkable Devices - which to buy?
The Pro is quite a bit heavier than the Pure (525g v 360g) if that's a factor for you. It's also quite a bit larger. If you need color, a frontlight, or the ability to use the type folio accessory, those would steer you towards the Pro compared to the Pure. reMarkable's software does not support usi

Still partial to the reMarkable 2
While I prefer the rM2, mine no longer has the capability to sync due to storage limitations. I was having this discussion with a recent unboxing video and as discussed, the Pure is not necessary a needed upgrade for the rM2 users. I always point out that the very first sentence on the launch and sl

I don't think reMarkable understands the Paper Pro Move
To be clear, I think reMarkable does position the Move as a companion device – kind of. However, I think they have failed to realise that the differences in form factor encourages using the Move and the Pro/Pure for radically different things, rather than primarily using one to work on your notes wh
