I used to like Remarkable, but time to move on?

Reasonable take. I moved on from them after the paper pro release but I’ve paid attention to see what comes as the true remarkable successor. I think the pure is a great iterative device that does improve over the rm2 if the rm2 didn’t already exist, but it being the successor to the rm2 after six y

2025 kindle scribe colorsoft vs 2024 remarkable paper pro, I want a device for note-taking, reading colored comics and reading eBooks mostly textbooks in .pdf files. Which device should I get?

If you haven't yet, do some research into the different screen technologies used by each device. They are very different, and the differences can be polarizing. reMarkable: Gallery 3, uses actual colored particles. More flashing due to having to refresh each color to build the color image, but a bri

Turning it around, what do you want from a new Remarkable?

I’ve been a user since the beginning. I still use my reMarkable 1 and I also use the Paper Pro daily. I had a SuperNote Nomad for a short while and there was a lot to like about it. Size- I quite like the size of the reMarkable 1. The Paper Pro feels more premium, but I’d love if it was slightly sma

Is it worth it?

Is it worth it? if you mean the cost, no. the rM2 costing $569 on Amazon for the package including a canvas cover and pen is, frankly, insane when you could have a lot more functionality and a better writing feel for a lot less money. same goes for the Paper Pro at $679 for a tablet and pen bundle w

Help with choosing a better e-ink tablet

I've recently moved to a Box Note Air 5C. It's color using a Kaleido 3 screen, which is decent, and has a ton of customization options. Some people refer to that as overwhelming, but you can adjust eink setting for each application to address refresh rate and ghosting. Color is a plus as you get the

Cancelled Boox Go 10.3 Order

It will depend on your needs and true use case. I've been a rM user since 2020 and I have another device since 2022 (Supernote (both the nomad and the manta). The Supernote has some nice features however I found how I use my device, I don't use those features in real life like I thought I would. Im

Mech Eng looking to boost productivity

yes, but you did say "in a perfect world" and there are nine points ;) Clear Data Privacy Policy and not Selling my data to 3rd parties or a Government all of them have this. e.g. Boox follows the GDPR, etc. the most secure will probably be Supernote as you can host your own data sync server complet

Why did I ever let my rM2 go?

I have owned and loved every previous ReMarkable, but I can't go back from the PP. I love my PP. The PP is quick, a good size, a better pen, better keyboard attachment, color, and a backlight. I've been using every generation daily for as long as I have had them, but the PP is such a great product.

Went ahead and bought one!

I was a preorder customer back in 2020, so I've had a good 5 years with the device heading into toward year six. For me personally, it took about 9 months to fully embrace the transition from paper. I had to keep at it. Depending on your use case, fully find ways to integrate it into your life and k

reMarkable Company History

I have both, also. The Kindle scribe is far superior for monochrome readability. Without backlighting it’s better and with backlighting it is exponentially better. One can also read kindle books, and annotate them on the same device. The handwriting feel is a tossup. The kindle is too smooth, the RM
