Meta won’t let morality get in the way of a product launch
"The Ray-Ban Meta glasses are sleek, unobtrusive wearables with front-facing cameras and a passthrough display in the right lens that can show maps, texts, social media posts, and more. Name Tag is a new feature that uses facial recognition to identify people you see in real life through the glasses

$70 billion loss over 4 years in metaverse and VR/AI glasses
Just looking at their current product, rayban metas, they’re pretty damn cool and work very well. Based on them being the first mover + cool factor I’m bullish on meta. Plus they have shifted their focus to AI and the metaverse stuff seems to have taken a back seat. FB + instagram + WhatsApp continu

Smart Sunglasses??
I bought the last Ray Ban Meta glasses, not the most recent version, and then I ultimately returned them. Here’s my opinion on a few different aspects and why I returned them: Quality as sunglasses - they are mediocre Ray Ban sunglasses, just like most Ray Bans. Quality as a camera - I was pleasantl

Apple absolutely cannot miss its smart glasses swing
Ray Ban Meta glasses have sold 2 million and they’re ramping up production like crazy, the Vision Pro has sold around 500k and the rumors are frequently mentioning that they’re winding down production. Granted they’re not the same thing, the Vision Pro is much more of a tech demo/first gen/early ado

Oakley met clear frames. Will they become yellowish in longterm.
The clear is really cool. I had the ray ban meta on clr gen 1 for a year and they were fine. I have then new ones in matte clr too and no problems thus far. However, anything clear plastic will eventually yellow. Could be 1, 5, 10, etc years but it will eventually happen.

about in & out in charging case
I put them in my pushing my glasses down in that area. I did that with my first gen Ray-Ban Metas, and I do that now with both my HSTNs and Vanguards. I take them out with the glasses arms because I don’t want to touch the lenses. I haven’t had any issues, going back to my first-gen Ray-Ban Metas.

Oakley Meta Vanguard Charging Case Stuck - Won't Charge Any Higher, Need Help!
That worked perfectly for me I was having the same issue recently and I only had got them 2 months ago. I had to do it with the plug in at the same time it blinks blue then white and my case went from the stuck 13% to the actual 100%. Meta support sucks and the constant updates make your device act

The First 48
I took your same path almost. Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, Even G1 and now Rokid. I agree on just about all of your points. The Evens were great style wise, but the Rokid Glasses are far more capable.

Nice daily camera better than Ray-ban meta
I live in Japan and own Ray-ban meta gen 1 and was satisfied as a casual camera. draw backs are Can't use meta AI(not sold and supported officially in Japan) Glass don't fit my face. I'm typical asian and ray-ban meta is not for me Short battery . I use ray-ban meta only as a camera and ear phone .
