Thinking of moving from Synology to Qnap... maybe?
I agree with McWormy. Stick with Synology. They will transcode and sync like you need, I have been pretty disappointed. I have 3 NAS devices (Synology DS3617xs, QNAP TVS-h874x, and QNAP TS-h1677AXU-RP running 1.2PB gross storage). Both QNAPs have been RMA'd - power supply on the 874 and the backplan
