How would you spend $400 to support your weight loss/health journey?

I’d go with the Powerblocks. They’re indestructible and the Elite EXP’s are $400 and go up to 50lbs while being upgradable to 90lbs.

adjustable dumbells idea?

Powerblock elite exp with the option to expand from 50 to 70 if you get stronger. Pretty durable design, not too bulky, and well priced. People don't like the look of the cage design but I've found it to be a non issue functionally.

Eisenlink or powerblock elite exp Those are probably some of the most durable sets at your price range, no mechanical moving parts that may break.

Office (garage) gym

I’ve got the Powerblock Elite EXP 90s; they’re tanks. I’ve managed to chip the finish on one of the plates (from dropping it onto the bench leg), but that’s the extent of any visible wear after four years. I need > 90# for rows; for that purpose I just got a loadable handle and use my plates.

PowerBlock AMA + $1,000 Home Gym Giveaway

Glad to hear you're happy with your Elite EXP's! As of now we are not planning to change our design to something similar to our competitors. As it relates to the cage- it's what allows our product to be so durable given there are no internal mechanisms. Additionally the cage allows you to change you

Your favorite way to do dumbbell pullovers

I do them with my powerblocks elite exp and they work totally fine even going heavy. I just hold them with one hand on each of the metal bars on the bottom (adder weight holders) . They're not designed to be held there but it seems really solid and I haven't had any issues doing it for a few years.

I've been using the Powerblock travel bench at home for the better part of a decade now, and I'd like to get a real adjustable bench, and I'd like to get the dip handles attachment since

Best Adjustable Dumbbells to Buy in 2026? (bang for the buck)

Late to the party here but your list is solid. PowerBlock Elite EXP is probably the safest choice for durability. Eisenlink style ones feel more like normal dumbbells which some people prefer. I remember reading a breakdown from strength coaches comparing adjustable dumbbell frames that originally c
