When it comes to ereaders, “good” is somewhat subjective, depending on one’s personal needs / wishes. If you don’t have any existing purchased ebooks already, and if you have no particular needs beyond “reading text-based books”, I’d probably recommend a Kobo Clara BW or PocketBook Verse / Verse Pro

Pocketbook IS NOT limited as to where you can get books. I currently have 2852 ebooks on my PocketBook Verse Pro Color, and didn’t buy a single one from their store. It reads more formats than any of the other dedicated ereaders.

With these specifications, I’d say PocketBook Verse Pro or Kobo Clara. The PocketBook has buttons for page turning (which can be really comfortable); the Clara doesn’t but has a newer screen. If you just read text-based books (stories, novels, text-based non-fiction), then 212 PPI should be quite ok

Another possibility is Pocketbook. By far the most sideload friendly, can read the most formats, and some models, like my Verse Pro Color (6”) and Inkpad 4 (7.8”) have great Libby (public library) integration. Also, check out Book Buster Deals to buy bundles of ebooks for cheap, often around $1/book
