kobo OR pocketbook OR onyx boox ? :)

8" InkPad 4. For manga applies the bigger the better, I use it daily for reading manga. Even bigger devices would get less handy and you would have to look into Android ereaders (of which there are a couple out there). The colour tech unluckily has disadvantages for colour content, for manga (and bo

Pocketbook Inkpad One Questions

In actual use, so when reading an epub/PDF, I would not call PocketBooks sluggish. It's more (or can be) the overall usage. And while e.g. Kobos are definetly faster in epubs, at least compared to a Kobo Clara BW (and way faster via kepub-conversion), PocketBooks are double as fast in PDF compared t

PocketBook vs Kobo vs Kindle (real opinions only)

Kindle and Pocketbook Ease of use -> I want to say Kindle is easier to use but that's probably a bias since I started with Kindle first. Pocketbook isn't harder to use, just sometimes I have problems remembering what gestures get me where since Kindle is so deeply ingrained. I will say the filtering

Help me, im new and need to decide between pocketbook and kobo

You should also seriously look at the 8'' PocketBook InkPad Color 3. I know your decision is likely because of the design of the Era, but every inch more is better for reading manga/comics. Manual zooming is in no way e.g. comparable to a phone or tablet (even when you can use similar gestures on Po

Simple question: it's PB better than Kobo? Why?

Both are solid choices for escaping Amazon's ecosystem, but here's the key difference: PocketBook runs on Linux and natively supports more formats out of the box (including EPUB, MOBI, PDF, DJVU, and many others) without conversion. Kobo is more restrictive with native formats but has excellent inte

New to Ereading, could you advice me to buy my first reader?

The PocketBook InkPad Color 3 is fantastic. I think it’d be a great fit for you. It has a large screen, sharp text, and you can adjust the brightness and the color tone. So you can reduce the blue light at night. It supports most ebook file formats, as well as audiobooks.

Best reader for reading news from various sources

If you want to stay with PocketBook, I’d go with the PocketBook InkPad 4 (or InkPad Color 3), the 7.8″ screen makes a big difference for reading news and long articles, and it handles multiple formats without conversion. It’s probably the best balance in their lineup right now.

PocketBook Era 700 - Review after 1 month - AMA

Thanks for the detailed review. I like my PocketBooks as well. I have a PocketBook Color and the first InkPad Color that came out and both take a micro SD card which is a feature that is important to me in e-readers since I have a huge collection of books already. I like the Pocketbooks for the long

InkPad Color 3 or Kindle Colorsoft?

InkPad Color 3, because you can plug your device to a PC and just drag and drop as many books onto your device without the need of any software. You can read out of the box almost any ebook (~20 file formats are supported), Adobe DRM is directly supported through the device. The device is very custo

Help me, im new and need to decide between pocketbook and kobo

The only thing I can tell you is that Kobo 100% has the faster OS (on the other hand is my Kobo Clara slow to boot from off state, takes double the time, my InkPad needs 11 seconds), but PocketBook is faster and has more options when reading PDF and cbz (I tested both side by side: PDF was a science
