What features would you want PocketBook to improve or add next?

Faster hardware would make me upgrade. I mean all e-ink is slow, but Pocketbook is on the slow side even then. More frequent software updates would be good. I just looked at the 6.10 releases (the one with the Pocketbook x Libby app): the first device got 6.10 in August 2025, and the last device (so

It's been an expensive 6 months since leaving Kindle

Growing up in school I hated reading. None of the required reading books ever did anything for me, so I rarely actually read them. But that all changed in 2011 when I got a Kindle Keyboard and found out I could read books that I actually liked. It's been wondering and I've been singing the praises o

Color e-reader recs for manga/comics?

I feel that for manga and comics, the larger the e-reader, the better the experience. Wanting a color reader makes that harder and more expensive. My pick here would be the Pocketbook InkPad Color 3. I have been using their InkPad models for years now and have been happy with them overall.

Pocketbook doesn't need KOReader

I tried KOreader on my InkPad Color 3. I removed it after a couple of hours. I thought I was one of those readers that doesn’t find value in the customisation it offers. I didn’t really like the extensive settings menu. For me, the PB native reading app is perfect. After a while I tried it on my sma

So I just ordered the PB Era color, can you please tell me one thing I should know to start with based on your experience ? It's my first ereader ever !

congrats! You made a great choice! you can customise the buttons on the home screen! Just long press on them, or long press on the library icon to add a new button. If you don't want to use the PB store, you can remove it from your device and replace it with something else, like Klondike. If you hav

Choosing my first pb

This gets a bit complicated, especially If you never had used a colour and a black & white ereader. And especially because returning a device will just cause hassles I guess. You should first decide if you want a colour ereader or a black and white one. This is not just about colour yes/no. The only

Stuck between 2 devices

I say go with the InkPad Color 3. Even though it's the pricier model, I think it's worth it for the screen size and the specs.

Recommendations

+1 to pocketbooks, had 3 so far (currently I'm rolling InkPad Color 3) and they're by wide margin best readers I used. Wish they'd still had an SD card slot but oh well.

Vision problems and e-readers

I've found Pocketbook e-readers easy on the eyes. I have InkPad color 3, verse pro color and wife has the era color. If you want any information on them. Little more expensive. Little bit more premium feel. Slightly slower hardware but for book reading you don't really notice. That comes in more if

InkPad Color 3 or Kindle Colorsoft?

I own InkPad Color 3 for almost a year. It's a great device, especially if you are going to sideload books from your computer using Calibre, KOReader, and the Wi-Fi connection. As for other aspects, it's a bit heavier than regular 7" readers, but that extra inch worth it.
