A case for PocketBook Verse Lite - My impressions

Have fun 😊And be patient if your device takes a little longer to do something – it's tryyyying its best it can (with the tiny CPU it got from PocketBook 😂). Btw., the bigger devices seem to have the same CPU as the smaller ones, and therefore are indeed slower than their smaller brothers and sisters

Just got my (officially by PocketBook) refurbished PocketBook Era... Sunset Copper... 64GB!!!

They are indeed nice, wouldn't guess that this makes such a difference. Regarding a hypothetical InkPad 5: PocketBooks isn't known for beefing up their devices much over the years (if at all). So while it's in theory possible, I would not bet on it. Funnily all PocketBooks I own have the same 1GHZ d

booting off / sleep mode on pocketbook verse

Don't overestimate the capabilities of PocketBook, no matter how simple something seems. Two examples to understand what I mean: The - what I call Libby-update - arrived around two month ago on my InkPad 4. It arrived last weak on my Era. PocketBook has for the most part 3 devices to manage: the Ver

Which tolino e readers support conversion to kobo’s software?

A 6" smartphone can't be compared to a 6" ereader since eink is by design slow. I guess a typical eink screen on a non-Android device runs at around 5-10 fps, and eink devices additionally need refreshes to eliminate ghosting (Android devices have faster eink-modes, but which reduce quality, so it's

Best E-Reader To Switch Away From Amazon?

There's no best ereader, no matter what people tell you. Only what's best for your use case. Since you mentioned notes, I limited myself to this: I would say PocketBooks are, at least compared to my Kobo Clara, overall slower. Which is something I don't care about, but is relevant to footnotes (and

8inch + reader recommendation for manga

8" InkPad 4 or 10" PocketBook InkPad One (no buttons). What do you mean with reflow regarding manga? Even if you have OCRred text, you likely will only see text this way (I have no way to test this, so this is a guess). And PDF can be a huge issue (high quality PDF scans - when these are officially

Rec for new ereader (looking for: no Amazon, physical buttons, bigger screen)

I've seen pictures of some of the older Kindle models here... also some with a full keyboard iirc. Would be nice if replying with pictures was possible in this sub, since it not unusual that people post pictures of their ancient (mostly Sony) ereaders, but then people can only reply with text instea

Which tolino e readers support conversion to kobo’s software?

If you bow your head to Amazon... it's still possible to use a Kindle 😅 As long as Amazon is in control, you books seem to stay on your device. Funnily they are also the master of keeping bought books at Kindle on Kindles, they have the best DRM control - ADE (Adobe Digital Editions - used outside o

E-Reader

8" InkPad 4. Ich würde dir, egal was du kaufst empfehlen, nicht unter 8" zu gehen und Farbe zu vermeiden. PocketBook hat gerade ein 10" schwarz/weiß ereader veröffentlicht (wichtig: kein Android e-tablet), der von der Größe wohl perfekt ist und der dich - da kein Android-Gerät - mit einer Ladung übe

Disappointing performance on new pocketbook

Your broken PocketBook seems to use the last current page when starting the device (which first is loaded as a screenshot and then switched out to the real book from my understanding - you can somewhat proof this), while the new one uses the book cover as boot logo and then loads the real book. My V
