Carta 1200 'Pocketbook Inkpad 4' is it noticeably worse than 1300 screens?

I can only tell you the difference between the InkPad 4 and the Kobo Clara BW, and directly compared it's definitely noticeable. Not that Carta 1200 on PocketBooks look bad, but the Kobo Clara BW definitely looked better (just regarding contrast) When comparing devices you also have to compare devic

Pocketbook InkPad 4 cant detect USB drive

PocketBook advertises OTG, but in practice the InkPad models are quite picky: I think most only work with small, low‑power sticks and often only with FAT32, not large 256 GB exFAT drives. I’m not with my PBip4 right now, but I’ll try later and let you know what works (or not) with mine.

Verse Pro vs Verse Pro Color (both FW 6.10) – missing UI text size on Verse Pro

It is what it is, you shouldn't pay so much attention to version numbers, it's likely that PocketBook just messed this up or different devices have different software iterations, and can't be compared to each other, I don't know. Until around two weeks ago, all of my three devices had slightly diffe

Guys which one for technical books?

The only PocketBook device which could be recommended is the new PocketBook One because of its size (10"). Outside of this, and especially if you are serious about this, the biggest Onyx Boox device you can afford, but at least 10" (the only one I have seen positive review of, and could recommend be

Choosing my first pb

This gets a bit complicated, especially If you never had used a colour and a black & white ereader. And especially because returning a device will just cause hassles I guess. You should first decide if you want a colour ereader or a black and white one. This is not just about colour yes/no. The only

A case for PocketBook Verse Lite - My impressions

Have fun 😊And be patient if your device takes a little longer to do something – it's tryyyying its best it can (with the tiny CPU it got from PocketBook 😂). Btw., the bigger devices seem to have the same CPU as the smaller ones, and therefore are indeed slower than their smaller brothers and sisters

New Pocketbook models this year?

Holding a Verse Pro (Carta 1000) against an InkPad 4 (Carta 1200) against a Kobo Clara BW (Carta 1300) speaks for itself. While the difference between the Kobo Clara BW and its predecessor seems not even that large and looks to be highly debated (I've stumbled over very strange opinions, people even

Just got my (officially by PocketBook) refurbished PocketBook Era... Sunset Copper... 64GB!!!

They are indeed nice, wouldn't guess that this makes such a difference. Regarding a hypothetical InkPad 5: PocketBooks isn't known for beefing up their devices much over the years (if at all). So while it's in theory possible, I would not bet on it. Funnily all PocketBooks I own have the same 1GHZ d

Which e-ink reader supports all of these features (PDF + EPUB)?

You just described the PocketBook Era (or InkPad 4, if you need bigger than 7" screen). Accounts are optional to use PocketBook, unless you have a book that has DRM protection. Even for that, just an Adobe ID is needed to read those. The built in dictionary for English is not great, but you can load

booting off / sleep mode on pocketbook verse

Don't overestimate the capabilities of PocketBook, no matter how simple something seems. Two examples to understand what I mean: The - what I call Libby-update - arrived around two month ago on my InkPad 4. It arrived last weak on my Era. PocketBook has for the most part 3 devices to manage: the Ver
