They are not picky about SSD brand. Just get 500GB to stay away from the 1 TB limit. I used PNY CS900 500GB. If it has not been done, I would replace the battery while you're at it.

Yeah prices are so bad now but don’t skimp! I originally upgraded ALL my consoles Xbox one S/X 6 total and 2 PS4’s at first I used PNY CS900 1tb drives the Xbox systems have zero issues being windows based basically they manage the SSD’s fine the 2 PS4’s killed those PNY SSD’s in a few months and th

I have an array of 6x4tb and 6x2tb sata SSDs in my storage server. I can copy at full speed for 50GB files on both arrays, but I think you are on the right track here. The CS900 is a DRAMless SSD, and there are reports that the 2tb and 4tb versions have massive speed drops once the drive hits 50% fu

I have a pure SSD server. your drive choice is terrible for a use case like a storage/remote server. the CS900 has no DRAM, so there is no write cache. the initial speed is because the PC on the receiving end is using its system ram as a cache, and once that fills up, you are back to the actual writ

The CS900 SSD (what you have there) is a DRAM-less design, meaning that performance can suffer under sustained read operations. While I don’t know how frequently a car has sustained read or write operations, DRAM-less designs are, by and large, a cost-saving measure. It’s not an awful drive, but get

yea, the PNY CS900 is actually a low quality cheap DRAMless SSD, so, it might actually be whats causing it. They are known to drop off terribly once they hit 50% full, and they have issues maintaining decent write speeds over long writes.

These hp laptops from that generation are so nice to work on. I would suggest that you get the t7400 instead, it's like 8-10% less powerful but waaaay cheaper than the t7600, that's the CPU I use on my Compaq nc8430 and it runs pretty great. I see that your model has intel GMA 950 integrated graphic

open up Disk Cleanup and then delete the old Windows updates which would also clear up any files that is not needed and also you would have files in your downloads folder as well. It would be wise as well to get something like the PNY CS900 500GB SSD drive for about $50 for your games and keep your
