Is there an *obvious* choice if you’re a newbie and your main goal is to create good quality D&D-style miniatures (28-32mm I guess) for $500 or less?
Get a Phrozen sonic mini 8k for under $300. Consumables including resin will be another $75. If you want just DnD minis that’s your best bet. If you ALSO want to make terrain and/or dungeon tiles, a Bambu a1 or a1 mini is better IF you don’t mind compromising details. Or do what most of us do and pi

Good entry level 3D printer?
To my knowledge the Phrozen sonic mini 8k is the best bang for buck for entry level printing.

Incoming D1 must buys!
And if you guys are wondering which printer, there are plenty on the market, but I personally used a Phrozen Sonic mini 8k, it is the best cost benefit printer for me $300. Stay away from expensive printers.

Need advice on printers
Other than the obvious… resolution, no tilting vat vs tilting vat. The Mars 5 can’t use antialiasing while the Mars 5 Ultra can when slicing to CTB. Technically it ca also do it with GOO, but you’re 100% more likely to trigger the antialiasing bug. No Mars has PWM UV control either. If you’re lookin

Question about printing for other people - (i am not offering commissions)
It all depends on your quality, the resin you use, How well you clean it, what the results are, How much you pay for resin. Many hobbyists buy resin printers and buy cheap resin, use the settings on the bottle getting bad results and charging alot for really bad quality Resin printers are a hobby in

Printer is Dead - Replacement Suggestions for under $200?
IIRC, you can often pick up a Phrozen Sonic Mini 8K S for around $279*. From what I've seen from Fauxhammer and other youtubers, it's one of the best for minis for its price. *Not presently, from a quick search. But sales definitely go around.

Just looking to get into this hobby does anyone recommend some printers in the $400 and under range?
I love my Phrozen Sonic Mini 8kS. List price is usually around 250$. It's a great little no-frills workhorse printer for miniatures. I prefer it over my big printer with more high-end features for most things. The big-boy mostly gets fired up for terrain. Take the money you save from that, get a bot

What is the Bambu lab Equivalent for a Resin printer?
Phrozen mini printers all the way. I’ve had the sonic mini 8k for years. It’s never had a fail print and within 2 minutes of setting it up I had my first test print on. The only maintenance I’ve had to do in all these years is replace the FEP sheet in the tank and that was only last year. Where as o

Can Anyone Recommend Phrozen or GK3 Over Saturn 4 Ultra?
Phrozen is same quality hardware as Elegoo, with worse firmware and worse performance for twice the money. I had a Sonic Mini 8K S with Z axis compression issues that couldn’t be fixed with Z offset (because the firmware caps how much offset you can apply, unlike nearly every other printer out there
