Refugio Day Pack 26L

I'm looking for a personal item sized bag (US, so18x14x8 inches) that can also double as a day hike backpack or daypack, i.e. can be worn for 6-8 hours without too much discomfort. One of the previous versions of the Patagonia Refugio 26L Daypacks was just like this. I can still see it online in Australia. They seem to have redesigned it without the duffel zip but the older version still seems to be on sale in places.

135 grams heavier than the Patagonia Refugio 26l but with less capacity and less useful features. I assume the handles and the "tech organization" pockets are the culprit for the weight discrepancy. Is there anything I missed that makes this bag stand out?
