My new sub bag vs my old sub bag

Mine is a black Patagonia Refugio backpack which is apparently being discontinued or updated: https://www.patagonia.com/product/refugio-daypack-26-liters/47913.html I find it perfect for teaching. Enough room and padded compartment for my personal iPad, chargers, and cables, along with spare pens, r

Which bag should I get for my first time traveling with a budget airline?

I really like my Patagonia refugio 26 l. The one I have has a removable laptop sleeve, so it becomes very light without the laptop sleeve. You can squish it down using compression straps on the sides so that it will meet the requirements of the airline.

How do you keep fit while traveling with one bag?

Hiking! My one bag (Patagonia Refugio 26L) doubles as my hiking/day pack and holds my Osprey water bladder nicely for outdoor exploring.

Lightweight backpack for work EDC?

Highly recommend testing out the Patagonia Refugio 26l. It fits way more than you think, while having a relatively minimal profile. I have used it for 2 night trips to NYC & then DC recently and it was very comfortable to carry all day fully packed out. In DC, the first day we got there we walked 15

What bag do you use?

Patagonia Refugio 26L. Enough to hold my laptop, portable monitor, books, extra sweater, and lunch!

Bag Finder Megathread - 18 May 2026

I've looked at: Osprey Daylite 26+6...something about it I just don't love. I know it's highly recommended. Looks like laptop might just barely fit in the case but I'd have to open the whole bag to get to it which is kinda annoying. I love Cotopaxi bags but they won't fit the 16" laptop. For anyone

Daily gym backpack

I don’t know what your budget it (these are probably too expensive if you’re looking at Jansport) but check out the Patagonia Refugio day pack 26L, and the Aer Duffle Pack. Both have a duffel front, to keep clothes seperate. The Aer in particular would be a great gym bag but it’s very expensive.

Patagonia MicroMLC 22L First Impressions

135 grams heavier than the Patagonia Refugio 26l but with less capacity and less useful features. I assume the handles and the "tech organization" pockets are the culprit for the weight discrepancy. Is there anything I missed that makes this bag stand out?

Does anyone have Samsonite 4Mation 45.5cm backpack and Patagonia Refugio 26L?

I had the Patagonia Refugio (black) but later returned it. Good bag, but not for me. Pros: Quality build as one would expect from Patagonia. Good straps. Cons: Too unstructured for me. Bag cannot stand up when fully loaded. Vertical luggage passthrough was annoying. The Refugio, when fully packed, f
