Lumix L10 Preview (Micro Four Nerds)
I'm sorry but I feel like Panasonic is helpless. They swing and miss with everything since the GX85. I love what they are trying to do but this leaves so many questions. I also love Emily's videos, but she is a content creator, she raves about a camera like the OM-3, then a couple weeks after her "1

Has anyone actually shot a good film or indie short film on the s1ii?...not seeing anything outside editorial on this.
It's a well documented issues with Lumix cameras after the S5ii, they have severe noise reduction which leads to ghosting artifacts. There was a lengthy .pdf running around in Lumix groups that a guy made comparing factory s5ii firmware and all updates and cameras after that. Anyway, the only way ar

Forgot this camera can take stills - LUMIX S5iix
Haha, the Trojan horse, I might do that! Obviously the size is smaller, but the files feel thin also from the Xe5, I wish the lumix s9 had a hotshoe

The Lumix S9 finally has a compact prime lens - TTartisan just released their 40mm 2.0 L-mount version
I don't understand what Lumix was thinking with the release of the S9 without a small quality prime for the camera. If they had released S9 with a small quality 28mm or 40mm f/2.8 prime, sales would have went through the roof. The S9 was not a fit without that small prime to hang my hat on. Bloggers

Looking for consolation -- Just bouth a new s9 literally 1 day before the L10 annoucement (no returns allowed in my country)...RIP?
I have a S9 and will pick up a L10, they are completely different cameras IMO. S9 is seriously missing a fast-ish wide angle though. If Lumix's next lens is a 24-28mm f2 in the same form factor as the 40mm f2, that is going to seriously blow the L10 out of the water as an EDC cam. It's all subjectiv

35mm sigma 1.4 art II on s9 focus woes
If you'd like smaller look to the new 40mm lumix 2.0. The pics are nice. 1.4 is fantastic. I put a 1/8th diffuser to soften it a touch. All is good except that focus on this s9. I don't think I got a bad focus copy. When it's just the right conditions, no focus issues. But I can't always have that,

I upgraded from s9 to s5ii, here are my initial thoughts
All points stand that’s why I went with Fuji xe5 with 23mm lens. Planning to get x100vi for extra stop of light, nd filters and flash. Size wise lighter than s9, that I had before. Picture quality is better - 40mpix does something magical where they look three dimensional straight out of film recipe

Considering the S9 as an upgrade from my Nikon D7000 - but how is its AF for low-light events?
I would not use the S9 for low light events, firstly there’s no mechanical shutter so there’s going to banding under artificial lighting, secondly there’s no hotshoe so you can’t use flash either. If you are insistent on Lumix get the S5ii instead, it’s the same camera with all the features missing

S9 Owners - Is it Good For Youtube Content Creation? Or is there Anything else that you like better?
After reading your post and all the replies, my advice to you is to get the Osmo. I genuinely think it would be a better camera for you. First of all, the stabilisation is better than the Lumix. The camera is lighter to carry around, particularly at arm's length, and it offers a wider field of view

Is it dumb to replace my S5II for a lighter travel camera?
I wouldn't recommend the S9 for mountains. In my opinion it's not the camera body that usually takes most space, it's the lenses. 20-60 is a small lens for full frame, but it still takes a lot of space. Like I travel and hike with my S1, which is one of the largest mirrorless bodies ever made and it
