Lumix has 10% of the European Full Frame market and is growing

I got my S9 body with an extra battery for 900€ on sale. I was planning on getting another Fujifilm camera until I saw that I could save 500€ and enter the full frame market. Was never really considering Lumix until I saw the price, and so far I’ve been blown away with the S9. Safe to say, I’ll be s

The Lumix S9 with the 18-40 is one of the most underrated combos ever.

Matt from Lumix recently stated the camera has far exceeded their expectations in terms of sales. It’s a really popular item for them. I got one myself recently, mainly to use as a EDC for video and to be able to take the occasional higher quality picture. Background: I started my Lumix journey with

Lumix L10 Preview (Micro Four Nerds)

I'm sorry but I feel like Panasonic is helpless. They swing and miss with everything since the GX85. I love what they are trying to do but this leaves so many questions. I also love Emily's videos, but she is a content creator, she raves about a camera like the OM-3, then a couple weeks after her "1

Finally got my first Lumix! S5II with 24-60mm f2.8

Your setup will definitely depend on your primary intended use case. Photo or Video primarily? Ewan Bell has some setup videos where he goes through his settings. I can't recall if he has one for the S5II specifically, but the S9 stands out in my memory and it's basically the same thing, so might be

Lumix S9 quality

I don’t have any problem with the build quality. It is a compact, lightweight full frame camera. I don’t think it feels plastic. The buttons are sturdy and very functional. The rear dial is fine and works well. It is just different from other cameras. It has a very light touch that you soon adjust t

Immigrant from Canon, settled on S1M2. Never knew I would ever own Lumix! Any tips?

I agree.. I upgraded to R5M2 from R6 (mainly for the extra resolution for birding). But already picked up a S5M2X and S9 before the upgrade (for video and to have a lighter everyday camera). By now, for another body or upgrade (from S5M2X) I would rather want a S1M2 than a R6M3 or C50. Canon is nice

Am I the only one who doesn't care about viewfinders?

I have two other cameras, GR IV Monochrome and X70, with no EVF and do a lot of non-eye level shots so my S9 wasn't a deal breaker. I did find putting on an anti reflective screen protector I had left over from an A7CII helped a lot in bright sun. I still have to turn the screen up to max and can't

I got caught in the L10 hype but ended up buying an S9 instead

this is one of the most well reasoned takes ive seen on this topic. if there were a full frame compact with fixed zoom with hot shoe for flash and a leaf shutter and stabilized lens on the market of course id consider that over the l10. but theres not, and everyone saying “jUsT gEt An S9” seem to ha

I upgraded from s9 to s5ii, here are my initial thoughts

My journey, for Lumix at least: S9 -> S5IIX -> S5II - S9 The S5II is far more enjoyable to use. Everyone claims you'll reach for the lighter camera. No. You're going to reach for the more enjoyable camera.

SG-image 35mm f/2.2 and other ~35mm lenses

It's so hard as each has it's own character. The SG-image makes my Lumix S9 easier to carry and relatively sharp whereas the Meike 35mm lens has faster autofocus and more uniform in its edge to edge rendering. The TTArtisan 40mm has some vignetting around the edges and lends itself more to darker to
