Finally the lens we’ve been waiting for! Any questions you have about it, fire them below…
Yeah of course! The SIGMA 45mm f2.8 is smaller but much heavier with it's metal build. It comes with an aperture ring (which is gorg) and a metal lens hood (super handy). The SIGMA 45 has very very noticeable focus breathing when shooting video. Not an issue for some people though I guess. I prefer

If the X100VI and the Lumix S9 had a baby with a 40mm f2 lens - would you buy this? 📸
I personally wouldn’t want fixed lens. The S9 has huge potential and I’m sure Panasonic will make it even better with the S9ii. I’d rather they take inspiration from the GX series. It needs a grip!

The Lumix S9 with the 18-40 is one of the most underrated combos ever.
Matt from Lumix recently stated the camera has far exceeded their expectations in terms of sales. It’s a really popular item for them. I got one myself recently, mainly to use as a EDC for video and to be able to take the occasional higher quality picture. Background: I started my Lumix journey with

Lumix L10 Preview (Micro Four Nerds)
I'm sorry but I feel like Panasonic is helpless. They swing and miss with everything since the GX85. I love what they are trying to do but this leaves so many questions. I also love Emily's videos, but she is a content creator, she raves about a camera like the OM-3, then a couple weeks after her "1

S9 vs S5ii as my first camera
From all my years of using cameras, S9 would be a wise choice. Why? Cameras need to be as compact as possible so you can always have it in your bag and shoot whenever you wanna capture something. Pair it with either a prime M lense (35mm or 50mm) (if you prefer pristine image quality) or an Lumix 18

Fujify Luts: The real deal?
I have both. S9 is definitely superior, but the size, ease of carry and the fun of using the X100VI is what sold it to me. Hopefully we continue to see more smaller lenses come out for the Lumix!

Can Panasonic please put G9 II's sensors on the S9 body?
I'm not a huge fan of the S9 body. It's more of a fashion accessory, and it's not even that small, all things considered (no EVF, no MSHTR - at least it's got IBIS). I would like to see the sensor in a G100 body - with IBIS. Probably not realistic though - both physically and considering how Panason

Why does Panasonic pump out premium m43 cameras but make the S9 so cheap and plastic?
The segment of consumers who want to spend big on a small FF body is probably pretty small and there is already the A7C and a bunch of very nice APS-C cameras. Panasonic has a very small market share in comparison to Sony. By creating a cheap (and very light) camera, they are targeting an entirely n

Beginner dad: What’s the best hybrid camera hybrid (S9 vs other options) for my situation?
My s9 + 28-200 has become my ultimate dad cam. A lot of people will try and counter that the aperture is too slow at f4-7.1 but I’ve had zero issues and the full frame sensor compensates very well. It’s not super POCKETABLE but it sneaks into a bag and delivers every time, even in darker environment
