Is this the holy grail of M43 Cameras?

Very annoying. All we'll probably see from Lumix now is a hand me down S9 body for the next M43. I hope I'm wrong. There is hope with a French company making a beautiful small M43 camera, hopefully it'll be great https://esquisse.camera/

Why don’t we have a true pocket-size full-frame digital point-and-shoot?

You forgot the Panasonic S9 with a pancake lenses. The reason is that there’s no market for it. If you want to make it pocketable you need to sacrifice on lens quality and at that point what’s the point of full frame if lens cannot resolve it? The target audience for such cameras are using smartphon

Lumix S 28-200mm vs Sigma 20-200mm ?

The Sigma 20-200 both looks and feels stupid and unnatural on the S9 body specifically. For that reason I’d go with the Lumix 28-200, which feels “right”er. Here’s a pic with the S9 + Sigma 20-200 at full extension so you can see what I mean:

This true? Lmao can anyone confirm?

I have mixed feelings. Loads of companies do this. Panasonic Lumix used stock images to promote their S9 camera that were apparently taken with Nikon's. I think Nokia's been caught doing fake set ups in the lumia days. Is it OK? No - its false advertising. Are loads of companies doing this? Yep.

I feel like someone is going to make a new compact soon.

Given how ridiculously popular G100 and G100D is for Panasonic, I don't think they ever will. I remember on one of their livestreams they were asked why it didn't have IBIS and they responded that the G100 was already their best selling camera. between this and the S9 I don't think they'll ever rele

Lumix L10 Preview (Micro Four Nerds)

I'm sorry but I feel like Panasonic is helpless. They swing and miss with everything since the GX85. I love what they are trying to do but this leaves so many questions. I also love Emily's videos, but she is a content creator, she raves about a camera like the OM-3, then a couple weeks after her "1

2 new Lumix cameras registered

Lumix updates are always welcome! I personally would much prefer an updated LX100 with real time luts over a revamp S9 that tries to compare the ZR.

LUMIX Digital Shotgun Microphone DMW-DMS1

This type of thing is why I thought skipping the hot shoe on the s9 was a bigger deal than mechanical shutter or an evf. People only mentioned the hot shoe in the context of flashes or the xlr adapter, but hot shoe audio is huge for creator focused cameras. Sony now has a hot shoe input for dji mics

Q: You can choose only two LUMIX cameras to shoot with for the rest of your life. What two do you choose??

I would go for the S5ii and the GX9 - my heart will always prefer M4/3 but I'm not convinced Panasonic feels the same, so the sensible thing to do is have a full frame system as well. The S5ii might not be as compact as the S9 but I still want a mechanical shutter on my camera.

Beginner dad: What’s the best hybrid camera hybrid (S9 vs other options) for my situation?

I use my camera almost exclusively for family life. 10 bit video, reliable human tracking and good stabilization are the main things to look for in a hybrid dad cam. I wouldn’t recommend an OM-5 or GX9 for your use, because they both lack 2 out of the 3 things I mentioned above. I’ve owned an E-M10
