Flash for outdoor events: where should I start?

Godox and the Panasonic L-mount bodies may not be a great choice, like it is for everybody else: https://www.reddit.com/r/Lumix/comments/1egjpzb/godox_and_s5iix_is_a_bad_pairing/ There's apparently a lag on firing, and issues with TTL accuracy, as well as banding issues with HSS. Godox might work if you'r

I like how so many people complain about overheating on the s1ii but they forgot almost every sony until recently does this as well

I just get confused by the language some people use when trying to downplay the reality of the overheating. Even in our short exhange, you started at "doesn't really overheat" and immediately went to "it obviously overheats quicker than my S5IIX." It's a bit of whiplash, and I don't think downplayin

Panasonic Lumix Service Damaged My S5M2X and Won't Take Responsibility

I totally get your frustration! My S5IIX has been unusable for nearly a year, by July 25, it’ll be a full year. It just sits in a box, and I’m still hoping for Panasonic to help solve this issue.

The FTR16 (older 433 MHz version of those receivers) only did HSS with the Cells II transmitters for Canon (and supposedly Nikon but the Nikon version never appeared before the

Panasonic Lumix Service Damaged My S5M2X and Won't Take Responsibility

I completely understand your frustration with Panasonic’s service center. I’m also a Lumix user and value their cameras, but at this price point, we should expect reliable warranty and service support. This is professional equipment, not something you discard when it fails. My S5IIX has been unusabl

Thinking of switching to the Leica SL2 or SL2-S (from Fujifilm)

Have you noticed any lag in AF and shutter release similar to Panasonic bodies when using On or Off camera flash? Just bought Leica SL2 because I was sick and tired of absolutely horrible on and off camera flash functionality with S5ii and S5iix and laggy/subpar overall operations and also less than
