Right after proposing
I always take a few photos for clients after the proposal moment has finished. Very bright highlights seems to be the current trend for everything proposal/engagement/wedding, so my goal is to lean into that and add subtle warmth by moving the white balance slightly higher in post. I didn't notice a

Andrew Reid predicts Panasonic is soft-quitting the market for professional photographers and videographers
I think Andrew went from healthy scepticism to bitter dommerism some time ago. He seems to think of himself as some sort of a scorned LUMIX fan. As for the substance of his blog piece - LPS has been phased out for years in Europe so no, it's not an unusual move. can you imagine Nikon ending NPS or C

Is it possible to go under $2400 during summer? (s1r2)
I get it. I am a shill with their video. The gh7 and g9ii are great. I'm a m43 Lumix shill. I got my S1r and S5 bc I was getting into photo (portrait) and thought the next PDAF cameras would be more digital, and people always say they notice a difference now that Lumix has gone PDAF. I do get good p

How are you doing with the flash on the s5ii?
There are three issues I have personally experienced. Major lag when shooting ttl mode and minor lag when shooting manual strobes with Godox, Profoto and Bowens flash (godox was the only system with ttl) inconsistent hss flash when using fastest shutter without hss, like 1/320 on S1r and 1/250 on s5

Should I trade in my MFT gear for an S1Rii for event photography/videography?
Don't!!!! I sold my S1R II on ebay, so I know what I am talking about: The S1R II has a horrible battery life. The ergonomics are bad, because the body is thicker than the previous LUMIX lineup. The camera overheats like crazy! You can not use CFExpress Typ B cards, they get way too hot, so you are

S9 Owners (or critics): How Much More Would You Have Paid for EVF, Mechanical Shutter, and Hot Shoe?
The S9 feels like Panasonic’s shot at Fuji’s X100 VI, with a touch of Leica in its design. It is clearly aimed at people who are new to the Panasonic S line, at travelers who want something light, at street photographers who need discretion, and at influencers who want portability without losing qua

Flash - how to expose with the s5ii?
Flash is utter and completely unreliable on the Lumix cameras. They are great for video, not for flash photography. I have used Lumix s1r, lumix s5ii, lumix s5iix, all were terrible. I tried godox ad600 pro, and ad600 pro ii (godox is a very budget entry level flash system), so then I tried with pro

Sold all my Sony gear for LUMIX and couldn’t be happier
I also switched over to Sony due to lens selection – but I kept my Lumix for video and low light stuff. The Lumix S5 is a really great camera and it's round about €700 used in my country, but despite that, I switched to Sony with an used A7R3 because I wanted to crop more and the S1R is too heavy an

Which flash should I buy for a S5II?
Second everything you said. Godox is nigh unusable with Lumix cameras. Found PCB better, but there is still some minor lag. Best way was to use the sync port on the S1R with the trigger, gave the least lag. In the end, for anything involving strobes or tethering I just use my trusty Nikon D750, beca

Rubber seperating from camera body already - Panasonic wont fix.
All Lumix bodies I have do this. I have used and still keep my old Canon 450D, original 7D, 5Diii, Nikon D500, A7ii, and a6300. Most of these were bought brand new close to their release date, except the a6300. The rubber grip and flaps are still in almost perfect condition, maybe with slight discol
