I hope this would be true..
The cheap camera will be something useless that no one cares about. I have a theory that the more expensive camera could be the small modern MFT camera everyone wants. A few YouTubers I follow have been mysteriously pimping out MFT all of a sudden. Being given GH7 by Panasonic to “test” out of nowhe

The beast has arrived..Lumix S5II
I did look into the S1ii but the pricing was a bit much, I was able to pick up this S5ii kit with two lenses from Panasonic directly for $2002.00 including tax

Lumix S1 IIE Discontinued!
They priced the S1II too high. If it was made by Sony or Canon the price would make sense for the features offered, but Lumix needs market share and needed to be aggressive. It’s really tough to convince people to leave their brand and lens collection, and almost impossible if you’re significantly m

Andrew Reid predicts Panasonic is soft-quitting the market for professional photographers and videographers
I think Andrew went from healthy scepticism to bitter dommerism some time ago. He seems to think of himself as some sort of a scorned LUMIX fan. As for the substance of his blog piece - LPS has been phased out for years in Europe so no, it's not an unusual move. can you imagine Nikon ending NPS or C

S1IIe - who is considering buying it?
I think the problem with the s1iie was clear from the leaks even before the official announcement; it's "just" a suped up s5iix.The s5ii/x has been on the market for a couple of years which means that it's had a couple of years' worth of price reductions. You can buy one in the UK for less than £2k

Can someone confirm anything on Lumix S1H mark ii.
Thats a big shame, and a huge mistake by Panasonic to rest on their laurels with the S1ii as their flagship. As impressive and great of a camera the S1Ii is, it’s not enough to be a professional’s A camera for video production. Highly processed and digitally sharp image, no OLPF to eliminate moire,

Upgrading questions - G7
I upgraded from G7 -> G85 -> G9 -> S9 -> S5II -> S1II I am exclusively a bird photographer and dabble in some vintage glass. For vintage full frame is preferable because of no crop factor, so you get full lens coverage. For birding its complicated. There is nothing on full frame comparable to Panaso

Should I upgrade my camera or improve my current setup for a more cinematic look? (Lumix S5II + Sigma 28-70)
It's insanity to say a two year old camera that has an identical sensor to even part of the current generation needs upgrading. Mirrorless life cycles are much more agressive than the dslrs and Panasonic are throwing out cameras for all audiences instead of focusing on a few bodies. If that works fo

S1ii Overheating Reported
No review talks about any trade offs. It's reasonable to not expect trade offs because this camera is twice as much as the S5ii. The reviews are glowing. If there are trade offs to upgrades then it's good to know about those. Most people who are buying the S1ii won't be aware of those. Lumix has spe
