Problems with the S1II
The AF part- 100% my experience (with s5ii at least, the s1ii should be only tad better). The “wide zone +tap to track which actually works and doesnt loose subject” mode on sony is ideal for run&gun/ events and panasonic just makes you concentrate on checking if the focus didnt drifted off instead

Lumix S1 IIE Discontinued!
They priced the S1II too high. If it was made by Sony or Canon the price would make sense for the features offered, but Lumix needs market share and needed to be aggressive. S1II 60fps 14-bit RAW?
That's true. I think Panasonic could be a bit more serious about sports/wildlife, especially with the S1II existing. M43 has the 50-200 f2.8-4, 100-400 (2 versions), and 200 f2.8 from only Panasonic. They definitely have the know how. Also it would help showcase the modern Lumix AF.

You can turn off autofocus and the result would be the same. And the S5ii also has PDAF and wouldn’t overheat in the same conditions. There is no argument or excuse for this. I’m 27 years old. I’m not some “old school shooter”. I shoot hybrid weddings both photo and video which is specifically why I

Honest thoughts on z6iii?
Using also the S1II/S1RII Panasonic and the A7CII/A7III (I also had the FX3), the Z6III has : -The best skin tones.-Excellent AF, almost as good as Sony and better than Panasonic, even compared to the S1II.-6K Raw video full sensor up to 60fps. Neither the S1II/S1RII or A7CII/FX3 has this (the S1II
