C100 MkII has a newer sensor with better performance, and fast dual-pixel autofocus. It can also do 1080p50/60, whereas the C300 is limited to 1080p24/25/30. (You could get 50/60fps from a C300 but you had to shoot interlaced and deinterlace it, which really dropped the quality.) Both cameras shoot

My first mirrorless was a Panasonic GH5 (initially bought for video, but I started doing photography as well with it) and the EVF was amazing. I've since "upgraded" my main photo rig to a Sony A7III, and I hate the EVF on it. It's a massive downgrade and I hate it. So I guess it highly depends on th

I shoot short films with a Panasonic GH5. I love it to pieces, even if other cameras have better features, for some reason my GH5 and Leica lenses are just my favorite. I learned how to compensate well for its limitations in filming, and ended up being more creative by learning what needed to happen

A lot of us have moved to full frame because of the low light, improved dynamic range and greater subject separation characteristics of that sensor size. I still love MFT and have a soft spot for my old GH5, but don't see the point in owning lenses from different mounts, so I'm prioritizing L mount

My DP used a Panasonic GH5 on my last film and it was great. Hire a good colorist, too. That goes a really, really long way…

GH5 owner but lenses are the same. A good all around lens for video is the 12-35mm f2.8. Find one used from a reputable place if you’re in a budget. Besides that I really like the 25mm f1.7. I’d suggest native lenses (ones made by Panasonic) so stabilization and autofocus work. Just my recommendatio

My dad passed away in February and we treasure the memories and moments we were able to capture. I think your idea is beautiful and I hope it works out! If I use the stuff I have laying around, I'd use my Panasonic gh4 or gh5 recording in mp4 at 1080p (it also records mov at higher bit rates but tha

I'm currently using the Panasonic GH5 for multiple live broadcast television events. I could tell you there are definitely setups that will make auto focus usable. A lot of it depends on your lens. I have a couple lenses that I can really count on for the auto focus to be good enough for television.
