Budget lens suggestions?

Recommend avoiding the EZ lens. The ribbon cable that controls auto focus has a reputation for coming detached, with no easy DIY solution. If you can, see if you can find the Lumix 12-32 lens that usually comes with the G100. It's tiny and excellent (for the price point you're looking at). The Lumix

It's 'Post your M43 photo' Thursday! Come share your best work with the community!

I'm no astro expert, but I enjoyed trying some Milky Way shots at the weekend. Lumix G100 Laowa 7.5mm F2.0, 20 seconds, 3200ISO Edited in DXO.

Can Panasonic please put G9 II's sensors on the S9 body?

I'm not a huge fan of the S9 body. It's more of a fashion accessory, and it's not even that small, all things considered (no EVF, no MSHTR - at least it's got IBIS). I would like to see the sensor in a G100 body - with IBIS. Probably not realistic though - both physically and considering how Panason

I feel like someone is going to make a new compact soon.

Given how ridiculously popular G100 and G100D is for Panasonic, I don't think they ever will. I remember on one of their livestreams they were asked why it didn't have IBIS and they responded that the G100 was already their best selling camera. between this and the S9 I don't think they'll ever rele

What should I get rid of?

By default I would tell you to get rid of the 14-42mm and 40-150mm and consolidate them into the excellent Panasonic 14-140mm f3.5-5.6 but you're trying to get money not spend it :P But yes sell the GH4 and the G100. They're both good cameras but u're not making use of them or they're redundant with

Am I crazy thinking about leaving GX85?

Not one person here has mentioned shooting with stabilized lenses. Or flash sync speed. Not surprising. Let me help you out. If you tend to shoot primes at slower shutter speeds, you'll benefit a lot from IBIS. If you shoot with stabilized lenses (as many Panasonic lenses are) and/or don't tend to s

Lens Suggestion for compactness and capturing my 1 year old.

The Lumix 20mm f1.7 wasn't made for chasing toddlers (at least, not with autofocus - you'll have to stop down and zone focus). Honestly, neither was the GX9 (go ahead and downvote me, fanboys, but I've had the GX85, G95, G100 and G9 and I've raised two kids so I think I have enough experience here).

Lens Suggestion for compactness and capturing my 1 year old.

This is probably too long a subject for a single comment but I'll try. First, all Lumix m43 cameras except the G9ii and GH7 exclusively rely on an autofocus method called contrast detect autofocus (CDAF). Under the hood, this method adjusts the lens's focus element(s) back and forth as rapidly as po

What Are Thoughts on Top 50 Best Selling Cameras in Japan ? M43 Odd Representation

Olympus and Panasonic gave birth to M43 and now they are proceeding to kill it off, not sure why olympus is doing that considering that's only what they sell 😂. This is clear example of management failure as usual. If I were panasonic and olympus I would be releasing small M43 bodies based on PEN an
