there are literally cheaper rings with no subscription required. even if you had money, oura is just another example of renting & never owning something. have these people ever budgeted or googled a day in their life?

I’d be worried about fraudulent activity. These are not sent out unsolicited. They must be purchased, for $10 (Oura has unique sizing) then returned to get $10 credit towards ring purchase. Yes they reuse them.

Having a monthly fee for products/services that I’m not used to having monthly fees for…I can’t quite wrap my head around. First things that come to mind are Oura ring and Hatch alarm. I guess I’m just used to my Apple Watch and old person alarm? It’s even worse when you don’t pay the monthly fee an

Subscription free! For now. Hopefully it will not go the oura ring route and introduce a subscription 3 gen later.

Ok so my oura ring is tripping then. What do you use to track steps?

I have worn Oura for years and it does nothing for my POTS, because it does not offer constant heart rate monitoring. It takes a measurement every once in a while throughout the day. It doesn’t help me pace myself, since the data arrives after the fact. It also does not predict tiredness or stress.

Oura Ring is overrated. I had one. Hardware malfunction after 2 years, battery-related. They refused to give me a replacement, saying it was out of warranty. And wanted to upsell another model. Screw that. If you like expensive e-waste, go ahead.

This. Oura Ring is flawed. Also a lot of the stuff OP did is unproven and just plain pseudoscience pushed on us by social media.
