Backpack for travel/carr on too

Check out Osprey farpoint/fairview 40L. It’s a travel backpack so it also has a clamshell opening that’s easy to get stuff in/out of like a suitcase. The backpack straps are actually really comfortable so you can walk with your pack fully loaded for longer distances, up stairs, etc. It’s very resili

What’s the best travel backpack you’ve actually used and loved?

Just answered this on another post so will copy my answer here: Check out Osprey farpoint/fairview 40L. Can My Think Tank Bags Fly as Personal Items on American Airlines? (737-800/A319)

This is not a camera bag, but our family uses Osprey 40 Farpoint/Fairview backpacks as carryons which are 9H X 14W X 22D IN on American and Spirit and never had an issue. We just try to look "skinny" as we jokingly call it when boarding. You should be fine.

How many bags do you have and what do you use them for?

My latest purchase is a Matador SEG28, which I recently took to Japan for 2 weeks (along with the Matador Freefly packable duffel and Uniqlo drawstring shoulder bag — both packed in the SEG28). This bag really fits my travel style and needs and I’m happy with it for lighter travel. Its size complies

Alternative to Arc'teryx Konseal 15

The old version of Osprey Farpoint 15 (still available in some places) is pretty similar to the Konseal. It’s 15 liters, one big opening on top, not too much going on with the outside except two meshed bottle holders. It’s Osprey, so the quality is good and there’s a lifetime warranty. I recently pu

osprey fairview 55L or 70L

We have both the Farpoint/Fairview 55s and REI Ruckpqck 40s. Same sizes without the attached small pack. There are pros/cons for both. I’d just recommend against checking any packs. The straps can & do get caught and broken in the handling process. So we like these sizes because either (REI and the

Best travel backpack?

Cool trip — Iceland ring road in August sounds amazing, and yeah, a good travel backpack makes a difference. Based on what you’ve used (Cotopaxi 35L), here are a few bags people often like + my two cents, including one I’ve been using that’s grown on me. 🛠 What I’d Look For Then ~30–35L so you can c

What backpack do you use for safari travel?

For safari travel, the best daypack is one that keeps your gear organized and easily accessible in a vehicle, on flights, and during hikes. Since you’re looking for a pack with an upper and lower compartment, quick-access pockets, a laptop sleeve, and space for a camera with a 100–400mm lens, you’re
