Osprey Farpoint 70L backpacking Europe for 2 weeks

the farpoint 70 is really a 55L main pack with a 15L daypack zipped onto the front, so you didn't buy a 70L bag, you bought a 55 plus a daypack. the 55 is still well over carry-on on its own - osprey's carry-on sized one is the farpoint 40. whether that matters depends on your flights, not the two w

One bag for diverse temperatures

Packing list first, then the bag. The Osprey Farpoint 40 is the safe answer. The bag needs to fit you, fit your gear and fit on the plane. Here’s my 4 season kit. Note the layering possible. It will all fit in a 32 liter overhead sized backpack. Pack for a week and laundry happens. Hand wash basics

What’s the best travel backpack that’s actually comfortable for long trips?

Osprey Farpoint 40 with an adjustable torso length and load transferring harness for overhead carry on maximum loads. Patagonia Black Hole 32 for 7kg limits and general use. Perfect for “pack for a week and laundry happens” approach. Gossamer Gear Loris 25 for ultralight minimalist kits. It has a fo

Is Osprey still worth it for everyday travel backpacks?

I’m an admitted Osprey whore, and I think I’ve used their travel packs more than their camping/hiking ones at this point. The Daylite 26+6 is hands down my favorite travel bag. Perfect for trips up to about 5 days if you pack judiciously. Comfortable, fits easily in overheard bins even when fully pa

What’s the best travel backpack that’s actually comfortable for long trips?

Osprey Farpoint 40. When I bought mine they had 2 sizes and no female version. The store fit me with the larger size because of my torso length and it fit like a glove immediately. Don’t travel as much anymore but still the bag that comes with me when I do carry on. The Osprey Daylite 26+6 is my go

Considering a Farpoint Trek 55L for my nephew’s graduation

Will suggest looking at the Farpoint 40L or the dual-bag 55L version (40L main + 15L attachable daypack). The 40L is carry-on compliant for many (most?) US airlines, while the 15L makes for a decent (small) day bag. A better bet might be to pair the Farpoint 40L with another bag such as the Osprey 2

Rucksack Problem Osprey vs Farpoint

Gen

Backpacks for beginners

if carry on is the priority look at 40-45L packs — osprey farpoint 40 is the go to, fits most airline sizers and the hip belt is solid for the weight you'd carry. grab a packable daypack for smaller hikes and you're set

I need a bag to backpack

for SEA the osprey farpoint 40 is the go-to for a reason — fits as carry-on on most airlines and the panel loading makes it way easier to live out of than a top-loader. if budget's tight, the decathlon mh500 40l punches way above its weight for the price

What is your 1.5-bag setup?

Same. Farpoint 40 and a Farpoint 15L Daypack. (Osprey Dry Stuff pack, packed inside its own pocket, just in case. ) Goes everywhere, holds everything, easy to carry, and never a problem on any carrier.
